Flood Certifications

While natural disasters are inevitable, there is a way to protect the lender against avoidable exposure due to Mother Nature. To ensure lenders are indemnified against mortgage loss on a property located within a Special Flood Hazard Area, CSS will obtain guaranteed flood determinations prior to the loan securitization process.

Basic Flood Zone Determination
A one-time Determination, which does not include subsequent tracking or additional Determinations.

Home Equity Flood Zone Determination
An initial Determination, which includes subsequent tracking and additional Determinations for up to 15 years.

Life of Loan Flood Zone Determination
An initial Determination, which includes subsequent tracking and additional Determinations. Terminates as of the date that the loan is paid or otherwise terminates.
